About Us
Founded by Faith. Called to Love.
Hands of Love International began as an answer to God's call.
In 2011, founder Brenda Williams felt the Lord place a clear vision on her heart: to establish a nonprofit ministry dedicated to caring for vulnerable children and building orphan homes around the world wherever He would lead.
"Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this:
to look after orphans and widows in their distress..."
James 1:27
With faith as her foundation and obedience as her response, Brenda stepped forward, trusting God to open the doors. What followed was a journey marked by divine appointments, miraculous provision, and countless reminders that God's plans are always greater than our own.
Just months after founding the ministry, Brenda and her husband, Brett, attended a charity event supporting mission work in Honduras. There they met Pastor Jaime and his wife, Mindy, who shared a vision they had been praying over since 2004, to one day care for orphaned children in their community.
What began as a simple conversation quickly became a God-ordained partnership and lifelong friendship. Together, they recognized that the Lord was weaving their prayers and callings into one shared mission.

Our Heart
To be the hands and feet of Jesus by caring for orphaned and vulnerable children through Christ-centered housing, nutrition, education, discipleship, and community outreach.
We believe every child deserves to know they are loved, valued, and created with purpose.

To see children transformed by the love of Christ and empowered to break the cycle of poverty, creating lasting change for future generations.
Through orphan care, child sponsorship, mission outreach, and strategic partnerships, we are committed to sharing the Gospel while meeting both physical and spiritual needs of vulnerable children.

Vision

Cesia's Story
by Pastor Brenda Williams
A story God wrote on my heart from the very first day we met. She was one of my first children selected to be in the sponsorship program, and hers was the very first home I ever visited. To reach her community, we hiked up a steep hill on a thin dirt trail. When we rounded the corner I was told not to speak, we had to pass through an area watched over by local men who protect their families and their neighborhood. The teacher I was with needed to get permission for us to enter in, which we got.
As we approached her home, we called out her name. She peeked out, saw me, and quickly ran into another room, pulling a curtain closed behind her. She was only four years old, wearing just a little shirt and underpants, and I thought I wouldn’t get the chance to meet her that day. I could only imagine that she was feeling shy with an American stranger in her home.
A little discouraged we turned to leave, but in that moment, the curtain opened. Cesia stepped out in a bright yellow dress, her face glowing. Our eyes met, and she ran straight into my arms with a smile so big I’ll never forget. We didn’t know each other yet, but God’s love was already moving between us. My heart was overwhelmed with joy seeing that she had put on her best dress for me.
It remains one of the most memorable moments of my life, a reminder of how God weaves connection, trust, and love in the most unexpected and vulnerable places.
Building a Home for Hope
Over the years, God faithfully guided each step of the journey. Through prayer, patience, and the support of generous partners, a 3.5-acre property was purchased in Honduras in 2021, paid for in full through the faithful giving of supporters and extraordinary fundraising efforts of Sun Valley Masonry.
What started as plans for a modest children's home grew into a beautiful two-story facility designed to provide a safe, loving home for 20–24 orphans. The property also includes housing for caretakers, ministry offices, agricultural resources, and a fresh-water well.
Our vision extends beyond a single building. We are creating a Christ-centered community where children can grow, learn, heal, and discover their God-given purpose.
"And my God will meet all your needs
according to the riches of His glory in Christ Jesus."
Philippians 4:19

The Full Plate Project
While the orphan home was taking shape, God expanded the ministry's reach.
During a mission trip in 2017, Brenda encountered two young girls suffering from severe anemia. Their situation deeply impacted her heart and revealed an urgent need among many children living in extreme poverty.
Through prayer and partnership with Pastor Jaime & Mindy, an idea emerged: provide nutritious meals, medical care, biblical teaching, and hope to children in underserved communities.
On January 1, 2018, The Full Plate Project launched its first group of 14 children. Within months, the group grew as sponsors answered God's call to help. Today, the ministry supports children through local church partnerships that Pastor Jaime plants (currently in Honduras and Nicaragua) providing daily nourishment, discipleship, educational support, and the love of Christ.
"Let the little children come to Me and do not hinder them,
for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these."
Matthew 19:14
Join the Mission
None of this would be possible without faithful supporters, sponsors, prayer partners, and volunteers who share our passion for serving God's children.
Whether you support a child, support a mission project, pray for our ministry, or join us on an outreach trip, you become part of a story that God is still writing.
Together, we can give hope, change lives and transform communities, all through the love of Jesus Christ to the children who need it most.
"Whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of Mine, you did for Me."
Matthew 25:40
